Dear Parents of Mead Elementary K-2 Students:
Participants are needed for the 2nd Annual Derby Dash, sponsored by the Mead Area Chamber of Commerce. This family fun event will be held on Saturday, May 7 at Mead Town Park from 3-6pm.
Specifically — WE NEED JOCKEYS!!! The Dash is a stick horse race. Jockeys will ONLY be allowed to gallup. Prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners! The actual time commitment for jockeys is from 4-5:15 pm.
There are only 12 slots available per grade (K, 1st, 2nd), so if you are interested, please email lisa@meadchamber.org or call Lisa Shields at 970-535-2108! Deadline to sign up as a jockey is FRIDAY, APRIL 22nd.
