Welcome to Mead Elementary! I am honored to serve our students, families, and staff and to be part of such a caring and connected school community.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Special Education with a minor in English from Greenville University. I later received a Master’s degree in Special Education from Grand Canyon University and an interdisciplinary Education Specialist degree in Administration and Special Education Director from the University of Northern Colorado.
This is my 26th year in education and my ninth year at Mead Elementary. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to helping every student feel known, supported, and capable of success. At Mead, we focus on developing the whole child through achievement, character, and community. We want our students to grow academically while also learning to be kind, responsible, resilient, and connected to those around them.
One of the things I love most about Mead Elementary is the strong sense of community. Our students bring energy, curiosity, and joy to school each day. Our staff members care deeply about children and work hard to meet their individual needs. I also appreciate the partnership we share with our families and the way our community comes together to support one another. Mead truly is a special place to learn, grow, and belong.
My husband and I live in Longmont and have four grown children and seven grandchildren. Spending time with my family is one of my greatest joys. I also enjoy traveling and exploring different parts of the United States.
I look forward to welcoming students and families to Mead Elementary and working together to make each school year a positive and successful experience. Go Mustangs!
