Beginning Wednesday, January 6, elementary students will return to in-person learning four days per week. Middle school students will begin the semester remotely and return to hybrid in-person learning on Monday, January 11. Mead Elementary Library is a space that welcomes all to come read, meet and learn. After school classes, meetings, workshops, PAC events, book fairs, testing and various small group activities are held in our library.
We are converting our library from Dewey Decimal System to the bookstore model - Buchter Classification System. The new organization is genre based. Students broaden their knowledge on a topic with ease as the genre topics connect from picture books to chapter books and then to nonfiction. At this time, we have completed the conversion of all fiction books, picture books and chapter books to the bookstore model.
