PARCC Testing Information/Schedule Dear Parents, All 3rd, 4th and 5th grade students will be taking the PARCC (Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers) English Language Arts (ELA) and Math state assessments. In addition, 5th grade students will take Colorado Measure of Academic Success (CMAS) tests for science.

For the second summer in a row, the Young Americans Center for Financial Education, a Denver-based pioneering nonprofit, will lead its award-winning, week-long Young Ameritowne on the Road Summer Camp, for students entering third through sixth grade, at Sunset Middle School. The traveling camp is a recent innovation, bringing the camp, which covers financial literacy, local government and workplace readiness, from the Denver center to offsite locations.
Mead Families, We are excited that the district is putting on another myOn Reading Challenge over Thanksgiving break! We have been super successful at winning these challenges in the past and this contest could earn us $2,500.
When I started at Mead Elementary five years ago, I met with teachers and staff to determine how we wanted to shape the future of education at Mead. Through several discussions, we decided that literacy was going to become the focus of our school. It was not enough to read at school and during class, our goal was for it to become part of the daily routine at home.
